Profile

The French American School of Puget Sound is a bilingual school in French and English and is part of a wide network of French programmed schools. It is accredited by the French Ministry of Education and currently welcomes nearly 350 students in Preschool through Middle School.

The French American School Of Puget Sound opened an International Middle School/College International in a new state-of-the-art facility on September 3, 2008. It offers two options for students:

College International: This bilingual section in French and English is an extension of our current elementary dual-language program. Modeled after other very successful French American Middle Schools, this program is fully open to current FASPS students as well as to students enrolled in French American schools locally and in North America. It is also open to students in French schools in France and worldwide. These students all have priority in admissions.

International Studies:  Patterned after the International Baccalaureate Organization's Middle Years Program (MYP), this section is open to students who  have not previously been enrolled in a French or bilingual school. All classes are taught in English. Students choose French, Spanish or Chinese as an additional language.

Students in the Bilingual and International sections learn together in combined classes such as English, world languages, physical education, and the arts. Sports and physical education take place at the nearby Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC), whose facilities include a gymnasium and a swimming pool.

The school empowers this diverse community of children to succeed in both the French and the American educational systems and builds the foundation its graduates will need to fully realize their potential in a multicultural world.
